What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Types of Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers
The most popular category of dermal fillers, HA fillers (including Juvederm, Restylane, and RHA families) use a naturally occurring substance in the skin to add volume and hydration. They are versatile, reversible, and come in a range of consistencies — from soft, fluid formulas ideal for lips and under-eyes, to firmer gels designed for cheek and jawline sculpting.
Radiesse
A calcium hydroxylapatite-based filler that provides immediate volume while also stimulating your body's natural collagen production. Radiesse is ideal for restoring structure in the cheeks, jawline, and hands, and offers longer-lasting results than most HA fillers.
Sculptra

What to Expect
Your dermal filler journey begins with a comprehensive consultation where Dr. Miles assesses your facial structure, discusses your aesthetic goals, and recommends a personalized treatment plan. On the day of your appointment:
A topical numbing cream is applied for your comfort (most fillers also contain built-in lidocaine)
Dr. Miles uses a combination of needles and cannulas, selecting the optimal technique for each area to minimize bruising and ensure precision
Treatments typically take 30-60 minutes depending on the number of areas treated
Results are visible immediately, with final results settling in over 1-2 weeks as mild swelling subsides
You can return to most daily activities right away — minor swelling and bruising may occur but typically resolves within a few days
